to the Smooth Jazz Society of the Inland Northwest's
website. It's taken us a while to get here, but
believe me we are here to stay! The purpose of this site
is to reach out to all you who love this great genre,
especially our "North Westerners". We want to keep you
connected to the Smooth Jazz life and news be it local,
national or world wide. And we want you to get to know
each other!
There are
many things in life that people are passionate about. It
might be a particular sport, hobby, or a drive to make a
difference in our world. We all seek to find our niche
that bring us pleasure and fulfillment. Smooth Jazz is
our niche, our drive, our passion. It is our labor of
love to educate, promote, and raise the bar of respect
for Smooth and Contemporary Jazz and the artists who
have dedicated their gifts and talents to creating music
that touches the very soul.
We hope you
will visit our site often as we add more content. We
will also be updating our
Society's news and the
Jazz happenings
as fast as we can. The Smooth Jazz scene has exploded
these past few years with so many new
artists and things to do that we need to
share with all of you! The Inland Northwest is a bit
behind (don't cha think?) in terms of
Smooth/Contemporary Jazz and the lifestyle that goes
hand in hand. The Smooth Jazz Society has the distinct
honor of being loving ambassadors of the Smooth Jazz
genre. By that we mean we will make sure the integrity
of this rich jazz genre stays true to itself and will
not be diluted in any way.
